It has all the elements of a great scandal. A Wedding. The Bride is a lawyer. The Groom is involved in the planning. But they get offside with one of the companies involved and words are exchanged – via email.
The email gets sent to all and sundry and next thing you know it gets the front page of the Sunday papers and the business section of the daily.
As a lesson in prudence it’s valuable. Becareful what you say, email, blog, and text.
But in the meantime there are the people involved and I know the people who own the company.
When I nearly got hit by a car at 3pm one wet afternoon they stood with me while we waited and waited for the police to come and apprehend the incredibly drunk driver.
Our daughters have had sleepovers and we wave when we pass each other in the street.
These are nice people who did something really dumb. It saddens me that their business will be negatively affected.
But above all, I’d love to know what the Bride and Groom are like? Are they really as trashy as suggested? They’re probably nice people too, but in a gossipy scandal that means little.
